page 6 is the second look at contemporary forms of artificial life. it is a reverent tribute to the electronic entertainment industry's attempts at artificial life simulations. sega's 1996 opus NiGHTS must be singled out as an especially strong influence and personal favorite. page 7 focuses on a game played between a young boy (soccer-san) and his dog. it is simply about joy, and is the apex of childlike happiness within superelectronic. page 8 would be the boy growing up, and the transition from childlike wonder to the workaday world of adults, confusion, traffic, and a fat accountant with glasses and lee majors' hairstyle (no child's vision of a hero). a car crash claims the life which began on page 6, and grew through 7 and 8. page 9 is the soul's entrance to heaven, which would be followed by page 1 in the cycle referenced earlier. repeat viewings of superelectronic are recommended. once the site has loaded once it can be viewed again instantly, and it is filled with hundreds of tiny details we hope you find worth examining. |
