sentosa mikano was completed over the course of about three months.

it is in many ways a refocusing and refinement of the ideas that presented themselves in superelectronic. its restraint and focus create a work that feels unified and whole. superelectronic was about a joyous life moving through the cycles of life and death. sentosa mikano is about a difficult life traveling the same path, this time without a firm understanding of its own free will or the chance to alter its fate. the life in sentosa mikano is ruled by exterior forces beyond its control.

superelectronic was the joy of freedom and control. sentosa mikano is the suffering wrought under oppression, and man's desire for escape.

the music features vocal clips designed to fill in fragments of the story between the different designs in the piece. phrases like, "who am i?" and "i have never taken a single breath" illustrate the anonymity and sorrow felt by the girl.
