page 4 marks the break of dawn. the machine girl doesn't need sleep so she simply spends the whole night listening to the sounds in the forest and watching the indigenous life. the volumetric lighting and interactive dragonflies are subtle touches which form the essence of page 4's organic quality. in the lower right-hand corner one can see a small window which indicates her eventual travel from the forest to somewhere new.

the machine girl's thoughts are summed up in a single line: "memories are lines of light with no beginning and no end."

in page 5 we see that her travels that day come to an end in a magnificent city. its just after nightfall and we can imagine her a tiny speck in the city, lost and alone.

her life is nothing but an attempt at escape from those who created her, and page 6, with its mechanical dragon caught for a moment in the sky above the city, represents the simple and ancient fear one experinces at the moment of being totally trapped.
